I tried to install Apache OpenOffice 4.1.15 on my iMac running macOS Monterey 12.7.2

Result:
“OpenOffice” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.
macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.
Firefox downloaded this file today at 1:14 AM.

Now I have NO OpenOffice application program!
Please HELP!

Edit: Changed subject, was Apache OpenOffice 4.1.15 won't install on macOS Monterey 12.7.2
OpenOffice has been installed, but MacOS won't let you use it

Please read the Mac section of Instructions for Downloading and Installing Apache OpenOffice 4.0, 4.1 Versions

I think the information you require is in Q05/A05

Sorry, this does NOT solve the problem.
In System Preferences: Security & Privacy
there is NO Open Anyway button.

Please reply with info on how to fix the problem.
Every time before, Open Office installed just fine.

Why won't OpenOffice 4.1.15 install correctly now on macOS Monterey 12.7.2?

Here is your own post in the first of the two links I gave to you more than a week ago:

This contradicts your post in the March 2023 topic where you encountered the same problem and had to ask for help.

Q05/A05 (read the link I gave you back in December) says that this is a MacOS problem. MacOS is the software preventing you from launching OpenOffice. Apple makes lots of changes to MacOS. You need to ask Apple what to do for your specific release of MacOS. Or reading these topics may help:

Thanks for the suggestion; however it is the same fix about selecting the 'Open Anyway' button in Security & Privacy.
Previously this helpful info was useful:
"you need to try to open OpenOffice, get the warning window, and THEN go to the System Preferences, Security box, and THEN the 'open anyway' button appears."

Unfortunately, this does NOT work now. There is NO 'Open Anyway' button in Security & Privacy, even when going to Security & Privacy right after getting the warning window.

This is frustrating.

Hagar,
Thanks for informing me of LibreOffice, I wasn't aware of it.
So - LibreOffice downloaded, installed and WORKING on macOS Monterey 12.7.2 !
Thanks Hagar!

Apache OpenOffice needs to fix their OpenOffice 4.1.15 application program to work on macOS!

The 'Open Anyway' button in Security & Privacy, was absent - but finally appeared!
OpenOffice 4.1.15 was then successfully installed.
Problem solved.
