[Dropped] Preserve math format when pasting into Writer

How do I preserve the math format of an expression when pasting into Writer?
If I copy several lines of a mathematical solution from a website, then try to paste it into Writer, the format is lost and it takes forever to go through each and every term, trying to fix it, which then leads to introducing errors. Is there a way to preserve the original format when pasting?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you got an example website maths solution you are pasting?
Are you pasting directly into Writer as text or inserting as a formula?

I doubt AOO/LO or even MS Office can import such object flawlessly.
Or it would need to get the exact XML code if XML-coded at all.

There is the option of writing a macro to fix it instead of doing it manually.

by Nick N,
My dear friend,

Formula output frame in open office math does not allow direct copy/paste event.

Just snip a rectangle around formula, save it as jpeg and insert the image in your document.
