[Solved] Switch LibreOffice view: Menu or Ribbon

From a thread on the web I switched LO to Tabbed/Ribbon view similar to MS. Trying to find my way again where everything is I wonder if/when there is a LO update would the update switch me back to the old style Menus View?

No point to waste my time learning if an update will change me back to Menus again

Thanks

Edit: Changed subject, was Switching LO to Tabbed-Ribbon View

menu:View>"User interface... "allows you to switch between the available UI variants.

If the Menu bar is hidden, display it by clicking on the Menu Bar icon in the Icon bar and then follow Villeroy's tip.

Your settings are stored in your user-profile. This is usually not changed during updates. So you are usually not set back to menus on updates.

But, if you need to reset your profile / use safe-mode, then use the methods above to switch on ribbons again.

Also it is recommended to have a backup of the profile.

Without safe mode, you can also test a new profile, see: how to reset your OpenOffice user profile.

I went back to the original menu mode since I find the Tabbed Mode much more complicated and difficult to read in my 17" laptop screen.

Thanks
