[Solved] Can't Fix "content.xml" error

Post by masca »

Hi everyone,

I am trying to fix two different ODT files. Both give the usual error in the `content.xml` file and are probably due to the fact that changes are being tracked.

To fix the issue, I have followed the guide at https://user.services.openoffice.org/en ... 71&t=87180: I have changed the the file name from "odt" to "zip", uncompressed the folder, opened the "content.xml" file with a text editor, removed the misplaced office:name="__Annotation__<long_number> strings, saved the file, compressed the folder back to zip, changed the name back to odt and tried to open it.

Yet, I do not get a functioning file.

I have also read this thread: viewtopic.php?t=107475, but it is too advanced for me and I don't understand how to the xml files are actually manipulated.

I would really appreciate any guidance on this.

Thanks!

Perhaps you might upload the problem file(s) here and someone could look at them?

Sure.

Here they are:
1) https://www.mediafire.com/file/gkxo6zzt ... 3.odt/file
2)https://www.mediafire.com/file/9onv8uuh ... 3.odt/file

I'd be really interested to understand what might have happened there. Thanks!
