I would like to create Greek character delta as a its triangle form but it appears to be something different instead of a triangle. Would you please explain how to do it?
I use %delta in Math window.

Perhaps you have a localisation issue?

Otherwise, what does "something different instead of a triangle" really mean?

Perhaps the triangle is a capital delta, and the "something different" is a lower=case curly delta, similar to 6 mirrored left to right?

Sorry for wrong explanation. It is this symbol δ. Rory is right. I used %Delta to make an upper-case one but it doesn't work. Would you please explain how to create an
upper-case delta?

Forums are still peer-to-peer. If you find a solution to your problem on your own, always post it to the benefit of other users having the issue and looking for help.
Here the generalzing info: Names of greek letters with the prefix "%" are case sensitive and must be all-upper-case or all-lower-case, and will then result in that case. Using mixed case the construct isn't interpreted at all.
