No yellow colors in palette

I have 4.1.14. The color palette doesn't seem to have yellow colors in Font Colors, Highlight, or background. Actual the yellow colors all look a shade of green. When I put mouse over "Yellow", it looks like a light green. I tried to create a "Light Yellow" using RGB cod 255, 255, 255, 224. Doesn't seem to be an option to Save it. Click on "OK" doesn't seem to save it.
I can't post a screen shot at this time as I'm on a different laptop and at work. Please advise.

You can first try to reset your OpenOffice user profile.

If no change, try to tweak the palette: [Solved] Smooth colors in OpenOffice.

I'm not sure if this is still an issue, but when monitors begin dying, color consistency is the first thing that goes.

Try the LibreOffice. It can handle more than one pallette.

The first matter to decide is whether the monitor/video card combination is failing. Do yellow and yellow shades show with other applications? If not, how is the monitor connected to the computer if a desktop? Un/re-plug the connection at both ends, and/or try a different connection cable (a VGA cable might have a bent or broken pin).
