Downloaded and installed per standard macOS procedure. When started application, got message

"OpenOffice" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.

Safari downloaded this file today at 4:50 PM from sourceforge.net

My only two choices are move to trash or cancel

How can I fix this?

Edit: Changed subject, was Quits without opening

You should search the forum or read the installation instructions before asking questions. There are easily 100 topics in the forum about this. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've answered this question. In the previous post's link, the section which adresses this is OS X and Gatekeeper. You have encountered a MacOS problem. Follow the instructions from Apple in a MacOS support article which is provided there. Or read Mac FAQ Q05/A05: The Gatekeeper won't let me run OpenOffice. How do I proceed?
