[Solved] AOO 4.1.13 crashes on MacOS about 15 sec after opening

On
just one user-id on my machine, OpenOffice will "quit unexpectedly" about 15 seconds after opening. You don't have to do anything; it just dies. (MacOS Monterey.) I updated to the latest version of the Java JRE as well as OpenOffice.
(1) Therefore, there must be
some file in this user's account which is triggering this behavior. But, which one is it? I looked for and deleted every file or directory which contained "*ffice*" or anything like that.
(2) What's the right way to
diagnose a problem like this? Where's the crash-log? I see nothing in the "Console" system utility, which is where I would intuitively expect to find crash-reports, but there are none.
Edit: Changed subject, was OpenOffice 4.1.14 crashes on MacOS about 15 sec after opening
OpenOffice 4.1.14 has not been released, and your forum signature indicates 4.1.13

Q02: How do I create a new profile on a Mac?

Survival guide That is a developer question. This is a user-to-user forum.
No one at this forum will be able to help with a "crash log". I'm a user just like you. The developers do know about the problem:
Issue 128535 MacOS: Application crashes 30 seconds after opening if "check for automatic updates" is turned on
If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

I am hoping that someone can point the way. I have reviewed these forums and found similar problems that were marked [SOLVED] by resetting the user profile. I did this – deleting the entire directory. So, the user-profile was (re-)created yesterday. Still the problem continues. And I still haven't figured out how to diagnose it. (If I could see any sort of error-log, I could probably resolve the problem. The "Console" application is where I would expect to find it. I turned on various Java logging options in the appropriate control panel. No luck. If anything is being created, I don't know where to look.)
If there is any other section of this forum where this question would be better seen and answered, I invite the powers-that-be to please move it there. I'm confident that someone around here can point the way to a solution.

Problem Solved. (Well, sort of ...)
In the directory
~/Library/Logs/ProblemReports, which was initially
root-protected, I found the following important clue, which appeared to point to the
"automatically check for updates" process. When I turned this option off, the problem disappeared.
Now, the immediate question is – how to report this problem to the OpenOffice staff?
