Can't install JRE

Post by BartSr »

Wie helpt me?

 Edit: Courtesy translation:
I wanted to use Base on Windows, but there I got the following message
Libre Office requires a Java runtime environment...The selected JRE is defective.
Now I have downloaded it three times already but apparently I am doing something wrong, or I have and wrong version.
Who can help me?

If that is 6.4.6 version really, then your Office suite is LibreOffice. It available in 32 and 64 bit version.

Linux MINT with Open Office 1:6 .4.6-0
comes with Java pre-installed as far as I know.
Just run

Code: Select all

java --version
Base is not pre-installed:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install libreoffice-base
