HOW DO i save my files from Open Office?

Use the menu item File -> Save. Do you have a problem using that?

Always save your document into the native, international ODF file formats.

Sometimes, the updates of the Windows, and the Defender software causes some problems with the Write Rights of the document directories. Set the rights, or try the LibreOffice.
