[Solved] Writer black screen when closing file
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=74100 This issue is still not solved: when working full screen in writer and closing that file results in a black screen on my macbook pro m1 (also: on macook pro with intel). Very annoying!

I somewhat doubt that a post dated 2014 is relevant asthere would have been many reports in the intervening seven years.
Strange problems are often fixed by resetting the user profile - see Resetting the user profile.
If not, describe exactly what happens in your case.

I somewhat doubt resetting a user profile after a NEW INSTALL on two different macbooks pro both with MacOS 15 and a 7-year old issue (still) occurs. You would expect that the issue is solved by now.

Is the saved file correct on reopening?

Please describe exactly what you do to make it happen. Have you tried, as suggested elsewhere, not working in full screen mode.
