Hi experts,

for some time I experience crashes under various circumstances.
E.g. export as pdf, copy paste of text and so on.
In most cases it just hangs and the pointer shows the rotating color circle.
One has to force stop the program.
in some cases the fatal error window is shown.
Not possible to identify a common cause.
Any hints for logging to be able to identify the crash cause are welcome?
Same issue with LibreOffice, so could be a general thing.
For used version see footer.

After update to Big Sur 11.6 no changes. Still crashing as explained.

I do not experience this problem. Read these posts about similar difficulties. Perhaps one will match your symptoms. Review [Tutorial] Mac FAQ, especially Q02/A02, Q28/A28, and Q59/A59. For problems with PDF creation, see Q36/A36. If you solve the problem, I am interested in how you did that so I can update Mac FAQ.

thx for your reply.
After checking all mentioned issues and possible solutions without success I decided to give it up.
Seems to be better to transform my docs to docx and then use pages.
Maybe the problem will be fixed in later version of open- or libreoffice?
I'll check from time to time.

Do a test by booting the PC in Safe Mode - google for how.

If that fixes it, it is one of the programs which normally is started when the PC starts which is interfering. Find out which by a process of elimination.
