Apache OpenOffice Community Forum

After several years of using Impress I am now forced to stop using it! There have been too much Now I will stop using Impress.
I have tried solutions here in the forum and all other places but I have not have any solution. When I play a video file I will only have the sound and nothing at the screen.
I understand that this problems has been in Impress for many years, and I am surpriced - and maybe disappointed - that this problem not has been solved.
So goodbye!

It doesn’t work

Can you play the video properly by an another application on your PC?
If the answer is YES, is that the default media player on your PC?

I changed the default video player on my Xubuntu computers to VLC and have no problems with playing videos.

Did you convert the video to .avi (yes myself i have the same problem), if yes... this might be the first and last time i will use Impress for something....
