[Solved] Columns - light gray lines

In the middle of a document, I created 2 columns. That worked fine. Where the columns begin, there is a light gray outline around the columns (I assume signifying the margins). Not needing the columns after a few lines I attempted to turn them off. Couldn't find where to do that so I just made the rest of the document 1 column. Now the light gray lines will not disappear. They go to the end of the document - irritating. How do I turn off columns or get rid of the gray lines?
I have attached a screenshot.
Thank you for help.
Lewis

As much as you need to know about columns is in this tutorial:
[Tutorial] Columns in Writer: an introduction

Change back from two columns to single column.

I think that you've entered the rest of the text in another section, you don't need it. Put your cursor in the second section (1 column), click the section 2 "button" bottom right of the status bar (bottom of the AOO window), then select the section 2 and click the remove button (it should keep its content).

Don't worry about the gray borders, they are not printed (see the print preview).

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the *EDIT button if your issue has been fixed.
