Hi all,

I found the right Customise tab for LibreOffice writer to change the default font but I can't find the equivalent in Calc. Please advise.

Thanks,

Ian

See Styles > Manage styles. You need to edit the style with your choice of font.

See Chapter 4 Using Styles and Templates in the Calc Guide.

Hi John,

Many thanks. "Save as" advice noted as well. I'll have a look.

Create a new file and change the font for cell style "Default". Changing the font of the "Default" cell style, changes the font for the other styles too unless some other style has its own font definition. See hierarchical view of the cell styles. "Default" is the "mother of all styles" passing all its properties to the children unless the children are set up otherwise.

If you save the new file as a template via menu:File>Template>Save... you get a new document from that template via File>New>From Template [Ctrl+Shift+Open] where you pick the template you want.

If you want that every new spreadsheet is derived from that template, call menu:File>Templates>Organize... select your template and make it the default template.

Styles and templates are the core concept of all office software, LibreOffice and OpenOffice in particular.
