Hi There,
I can't find an answer but is there a way to move a template from the template folder in OpenOffice onto my desktop or to a different location on my laptop?
Regards,

OpenOffice 4.1.7/Windows 10
Re: TEMPLATE TO DESKTOP
I would open the template by using the menu File -> Templates -> Organize, selecting the template, then selecting Edit from the Command button. You can then use File -> Save As to store it anywhere.
OpenOffice 4.1 on Windows 10 and Linux Mint

Re: Template to desktop
I'd suggest to leave the template in place but to drag it in the Windows-file-Explorer with the RIGHT button of your mouse to the Desktop and then selecting to create a link.
In most cases it is better to have templates at defined places for management, especially if there are derived files - wich will not note changes in the copies.
