Hello
I urgently need help with the recovery of an unsaved file.
I have checked that the Options> Load/save> Save Autorecovery Information every IS CHECKED on every 15 mins.
I have seen the pathway to the backup, but the pathway doesn't exist!
And i can't find the Backup file anywhere..

Unless you have checked the box under Tools--Options--LOAD/SAVE -- General that says "Always Create Backup Copy" there is no backup copy. Saving auto recovery information is designed to allow you to recover from a crash. It does not make a backup copy. Review this tutorial for help finding lost documents viewtopic.php?f=71&t=85038

Note also that the backup copy is only created when you save a file that has already been saved at least once.

Thank you both very much.
I actually found it, because it had saved it in the default format, odt...
But I have now checked the 'Always create backup copy' box, so should be alright next time.
Thanks again.

I would also make other backups of the file in a different location. Never hurts to have multiple backups.
