Hi, I had to update to Windows 10 end of 2019 ... and now I'm starting to have trouble inside open office documents
to drag and hold to pick up text etc .. is this because of Flash Drive deteriorating? I've tested my mouse and it still
seems to be doing okay so I'm pretty sure it's not that ... what can I do to get the corruption out of the way ... it is
making work and playing games so difficult ... in games ... if I click on something to mark it ahead, it misses half
of what I'm clicking on now.

Please provide a few more details. Which OpenOffice application are you using, Writer, Calc or another one? How exactly are you trying to move text? Please describe the series of mouse actions or key strokes that you use. What exactly goes wrong?

inside text documents, spreadsheets, draw ... I try to do stuff that has always been easy and
reliable ... like hold the left mouse button to capture a paragraph or a picture, then copy
and paste ... it won't pick up the item to copy it ... or if I'm trying to copy say three words,
I'll be dragging the mouse to pick up and it gets crazy ... one word will "pick up", or half a
word ... I try over and over and sometimes I get lucky and can "pick up" a whole line to copy.
Maybe I'm using the wrong language to be easily understood ...

That seems more like a problem with your mouse than with the software. Can you use another mouse, maybe just borrow one for a quick test? I use Windows 10 and I do not have any problems like that, though your hardware is surely different.
Is your computer a laptop with a built in control like a touch pad that you could try?

One clicks and drags to select a text, releases the mouse button then clicks again on the selected text to move it to a new location.

One must release to indicate that the selection is finished, then click on the selection to move it.

Can you edit the document otherwise? If the (part of) document is read-only for some reason, drag&drop fails.
