According to the new features of LO7 (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XusjjbBm81s), it's possible in Impress (and possibly elsewhere) to go beyond the maximum page width of 200 inches when exporting to PDF. I can find no way of achieving this. Any attempt in Impress, Draw, or Writer to set a page width beyond 300 cm defaults back to 300.

There's a significant discrepancy between the 200 inches, which you say you want to go past and the 300 cm width you state as the default maximum.
200 inches = 508 cm, thus 208 cm (roughly 66%) more than the default maximum you have stated.

Apologies for mixing imperial and decimal. The video refers to 200 inches, I have decimal set up on my system. Here's my question rephrased more accurately: How do I create PDFs larger than 200 inches?
Thanks.

You might find
this question on the AskLibO site helpful. Also, see
the release notes for 7.0.
I think you may mean Imperial and Metric - decimal could be relevant to either system.

Thanks very much, the second link did indeed do the trick. For anyone else with the same question, following the advice in that link I increased the canvas size by going to
Tools->Options->LibreOffice->Advanced->Expert Configuration
and increasing org.openoffice.Office.Common/Drawinglayer to 1000 cm.
I can now export to 1000 cm wide PDFs. I didn't push my luck any further than that.
