[Solved] Trying to print a booklet of impress slide-notes.

Post by shilliard »

I want to print the impress slide-notes in booklet form. After I fold the the documents to make the booklet, each page in the booklet should show a slide with notes underneath it - as the notes tab would show on screen. This used to work for me but I don't remember what the settings were. The printer is Brother 8860DN (USB)

The following settings do not work.
print
[general tab]
notes
all slides
[page layout tab]
Brochure
Printer: Brother MFC 8860DN USB
Printer [properties]
Landscape
Flip on short edge
pages per sheet=1
booklet

The preview displayed on printer properties looks correct. It shows a sheet 8.5 vertical, 11 horizontal with two notes pages on the sheet side by side. But the printed result is different. It is a sheet in portrait mode, with two notes sided by side but only on the lower half of the portrait sheet. On the other side of the same sheet there are also two notes on the lower half, and they are printed upside down.

I have experimented with landscape/portrait, fold long edge/short edge, pages per sheet 2/1, brocure selected. No combination seems to work.

How can I print a booklet of slide-notes.

That is true. Is that the wrong thing to do? Are the two forums supposed to be one-or-the-other?

Nothing wrong with cross posting across forums but as a courtesy you should let people know you have done so, with a link.

Not doing so can lead to several discussions and a waste of time because several identical answers may be posted by different users.
