Welcome to the forums.

See if Q32/A32 in [Tutorial] Mac FAQ provides any useful hints.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Little is known about this problem. I cannot reproduce it. You could try changing the options in OpenOffice → View one at a time, restarting OpenOffice, then checking to see if the problem is gone. Options are set with OpenOffice → Preferences on a Mac, Tools → Options on other platforms. I realize this will take you some time, however you are the one with the problem. We would appreciate knowing how you solved it.

July 2018: [Solved] Adjusting the height of a column header
April 2019: Calc Doesn't show title row

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

1. It looks like the font AOO is using is not installed on your PC. Check your installed fonts with the installed fonts on a Mac where it works.

2. Strange problems are sometimes fixed by resetting the profile - see Resetting the user profile.

3. Do a test by setting the screen to a smaller pixel count - does that fix it?

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.
