No need to - all he needs to do is post a message to visit this forum to ask any questions and lock the old one so that it can still be viewed but not posted to.
To read an old page of oooforum, use the Internet Archive Wayback Machine.
Start with main address http://www.oooforum.org/
It shows you dates of snapshots. Use one.
It displays the home page at that date. Now you can browse through this copy of oooforum.
