Automatic Updates?

Post by Snaker01 »

Hello,

I have downloaded the 2.4 m5 version of openoffice. It's my first version :-) My question: I have read that there is a automatic update function in openoffice. But I can't find this point in the program. The help of openoffice says that there is the function.

Do you can help me.

Thanks.

In my (2.3.1/WinXP) version it's in Tools>Options>OpenmOffice.org>Online Update.

Found it there in 2.4?

Yes, indeed. An update function does not make much sense in a development snapshot, because it might offer you an update very frequently. ;)

Anyway, depending on what your goals are, it might be favorable to use the current productive release as a start.
