I'm currently deploying Open Office 2.3 to a few dozen test users. We have a Novell network in place and I have taken a snapshot of the install. The Application is deployed fine, but I now need to find a way to change the default directory where Open office opens and saves files from. I know that this can be done on a per user basis but usering tools/options/OpeneOffice-enterprise/paths, but I'd liek to have this already in place without having to do this for each user.
I have noticed that there is a file named paths.xcu is created when I make a change in the paths. SO I need to find a way to set the line in this file to the D:\%username%\open office\ . This %username% variable doesn't work for OO, it seems to want to use $(userurl) variables, but I am unsure how to add my own variable to the software.
Anyone have any Ideas?
