[Solved] Is it possible to add a "new line" in a Calc cell?

Post by Horus »

In Excel, it's possible to press "Alt+Enter" to add a "new line" character in a cell. This is to reduce a cell width and display text on several lines.
In Calc, I've tried combos like "Alt+Enter", "Ctrl+Enter", "Shift+Enter" and "Shift+Ctrl+Enter" but to no effect. So I'm wondering if this is at all possible??

You do not mention your Operating System nor your OOo version, so it is somewhat difficult to help you. With Windows XP, Ctrl+Enter inserts in the text of a cell a new line.

I'm now using OOO 3.2.0 (in Windows) and Ctrl+Enter can now insert a new line. Thanks
