Table: rows equal height, fixed total height

Post by soren »

Assume I have a table with inhomogeneous cell sizes.

I can select a subset of the columns and choose "Spalte > gleichmäßig verteilen" (column, distribute evenly). This makes all columns the same width, while the overall width of the selected group remains the same. When I do the same with rows ("Zeile > gleichmäßig verteilen", row, distribute evenly), this seems to adjust all rows' height to the maximum height of the selected subset. As a consequence, the overall height of the selected group grows.

Is there a way to specify the desired height of a table in advance, and then distribute the available space evenly among all rows (other than doing the maths manually and setting all row heights to that value)?

Thanks. (OpenOffice Writer 2.3.1 German, Windows XP)

Strangely, no.

You have to do the math yourself (table height / number of rows), then set all the rows to that height.
