Printing page with images

Post by Dawna »

I am using Open Office latest version, and trying to print a page that has two small graphic images I used as illustrations. There is also copy that is arranged in a couple of paragraphs on the page. When I try to print the page, all that appears on the printed paper is the top illustration. There is no type on the page, and the second image down the bottom is not printed, either. I am at a loss as to what to do, and could really use some help. I am working at a deadline, and need to know as soon as possible! If you can assist, please let me know in easy steps what I should do. Thanks, Dawna

As a workaround, you can export the file as PDF, then print it from your PDF reader.

If you want to fix the global issue within Writer, you can try to change the anchoring of the pictures. Try to avoid the anchor To page.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

NB: moved your thread to the Writer forum.

I am having a similar problem.

In my case the image was anchored to the paragraph.
I could get the text to print by selecting it and then saying print selection only (although the paragraph margins for the lines wrapping around the image were changed to full width as if there was no image on the page)

When I changed the anchor for the image to page and put it's order to bottom then all printed OK.

Double-click on one of the non-printing images to open its properties editor. On the Options tab, is the Print checkbox selected?

Also---what kind of objects are they? Are they all inserted the same way or did you use different methods to bring them into your documents? Is the printer local or networked? Please always include the printer model (for eample, mine is an HP Deskjet 840C, local instead of networked).
Cheers!
