File Tags in Properties

Would it be possible to enable OpenOffice files to support tags?
Microsoft files DO support it, File/Properties/Details: Tags
OpenOffice uses keywords, but I don't know how to use them in searches through Microsoft Explorer.
I'd like to facilitate more accurate searches by suing this function.
Please give me some guidance. Thanks

ODF files (odt, ods, odp etc) are zip archives with xml content. The file meta.xml contains the info that is visible in the properties dialog.

Yes, the distinction between the OpenOffice metadata and Windows Explorer's search/indexing is important here.

For ODF files such as .odt, .ods and .odp, the document metadata is stored inside the ODF package, so adding a keyword/tag in OpenOffice doesn't necessarily mean Windows Explorer will expose or index that field in the same way as a Microsoft Office document.

This becomes particularly noticeable when you're trying to manage a large collection of business documents. For example, you might tag documents as Invoice, Purchase Order, Customer, or Project, but relying on Explorer to search those tags can be inconsistent depending on the file format and Windows property handler.

For a small number of files, keeping the tags in the document metadata is probably sufficient. For a larger business document workflow, I'd consider using a document-management or business system where the metadata is part of the application's database rather than relying entirely on filesystem tags.

An ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an example of that broader approach for business processes—it can manage structured records such as customers, vendors, invoices, orders and financial transactions rather than treating everything as files in folders. Of course, an ERP wouldn't replace OpenOffice's document metadata or Windows Explorer; they're solving different problems.

So if the main goal is simply to search OpenOffice documents by tags in Windows Explorer, I'd first verify whether the Windows property handler for the particular ODF file type is indexing the metadata correctly.

I can't help with Windows but an operating system search (Finder) on MacOS will show documents containing tags I've added to:
File → Properties → Description → Keywords    or
File → Properties → Description → Comments
