[Dropped] New PC, can't open spreadsheets

Post by SarahH2905 »

Hi,
Hoping someone can help. Just bought a new PC (Windows 11) and downloaded Open Office 4.1.16 (was using this on old PC). I've transferred my accounts (spreadsheet) but can't open any of the files. I can open word documents but it won't open the spreadsheets. Nothing happens - I click on spreadsheets or the the accounts file (ods file).
Can anyone advise?

Can you make a trivial spreadsheet, Save it and then reopen it?

Have you actually transferred your spreadsheet files from the old computer?

Else, try LibreOffice. See [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information. Long topic but to make a story short, it is under much more active development than AOO.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the button if your issue has been fixed.
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 25.2 portable on Windows 11.
