Multi-table, Dynamic Report Yields nothing

Post by wa2pux »

I have two tables in my database.
I create a query which yields exactly the data I want. Unfortunately, I do not see any possible way of printing or saving the results of the query directly.
So...I create a report based on that query using the Wizard. I save it as a dynamic report.
I open the report and get junk:
Ut wisi Ut wisi 9876.5 9876.5 Ut wisi Ut wisi Ut wisi enim Ut Ut Ut Ut Ut
If I go through the exact same steps and save it as a Static Report, then the report is exactly as it should be with all of the data.
OK ... so what am I doing wrong?

Drag the query icon into a Calc sheet and you get something printable instantly.
If you drag the query icon from Calc's data source window, you get a linked range refreshable via menu:Data>Refresh

Still using OpenOffice, you better install the report builder extension. LibreOffice has this extension integrated in the default installation.
