LibreOffice version 25.2.6.2(x86_64) on Manjaro Gnome Linux desktop.
New to Impress, which overall I'm finding very impressive!
However, I have two or three short audio clips I want to play while looking at relevant slides. I add a clip through the "Insert > Audio or Video" menu, and having selected the clip in the file browser that opens, a selectable and resizeable audio icon square appears on the slide. But other than resizing I can do nothing with it. If I start the slideshow, the clip starts playing immediately the slide it's on appears. But I don't want that. I want to introduce the clip before I play it, ideally by clicking. I find it extraordinary there's no obvious way to do this - what am I missing?
NB Most of the items that come up in my searches relate to embedded media and/or presentations run on different platforms etc. I'll be running the presentation from this same desktop, which also houses the audio clips. Of course I can just pause the presentation and play the clips, but that seems both clunky in an otherwise sophisticated programme and interrupts the flow of the presentation.
Grateful for any advice.

Re: Unable to set audio clip to play on click
I seldom use Impress however I think you need to create an Interaction as described in chapter 9.
