Alternative Find and Replace v1.4.2
If I just type "\p" in the "Search for" field, it doesn't find paragraph marks.
If I pull down the "Regular" menu, and click on "paragraph", it puts "\p" in the "Search for" field.
Then it finds paragraph marks.
So there is some invisible difference between my "\p" and the "\p" that goes in when I click "paragraph"????

Re: Alternative Find and Replace ... two different \p's
When you use the Regular menu, selecting Paragraph _also_ selects Regular expressions on the main AltSearch window.
If you simply enter \p, _and_ check Regular Expressions, your first case should work.
