Will there be a version of OpenOffice for Mac OS 15.5, I was told there was a version but haven't managed to find it.

System requirements for MacOS.

Did you try the option to download a version for MacOS 10.7 or greater?

Yes and no. OpenOffice does not create new versions each time that Apple updates MacOS. If this is what you are expecting you need to find another office suite. However you can just use the latest version until OpenOffice creates newer one. The last important version of OpenOffice was 4.1, released about ten years ago. There have been only tiny changes since, mostly security patches.

OpenOffice's advantage over other office suites is that it is very stable, and you won't be having surprises because the developers made a bunch of changes and now you have to find where feature XYZ has moved in the user interface. The OpenOffice version I use now, 4.1.7, operates almost identically to the one I first installed in 2009. I don't plan to upgrade unless a later version has some feature I really want.

OpenOffice 4.1.15 probably runs on MacOS 15.5. Just try it and see.
If not, you can try LibreOffice where the developers do constantly make alterations to it.
Q03: How do I install OpenOffice on a Mac?

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit ✏️ button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

OpenOffice 4.1.15 works on MacOS 15.5, I can confirm it. Also with Java dependences like Base: viewtopic.php?p=554042#p554042
