[Dropped] Opening files blocked by Microsoft

Post by c1croft »

Have used open office for ten years and today when I went to open a file, the file was opened with a window that required me to open the file in one drive(which I do not use) or purchase ms 360. How to correct and get back to useing open office as before.

You should be able to start OpenOffice and use the menu File -> Open to open any file. Does that work? If it works, all you should have to do is set OpenOffice to be the default application for files whose name ends with .odt, .ods, etc. I'm not familiar with how to do that with Windows 11, but a web search should give you that information. Just search for Windows 11 default application.
