[Solved] More bullet points, please
[Solved] More bullet points, please
Hello, when creating a list of bullet points in a text document, a space appears after the 10th point. The formatting options are for points one through ten. Can I have more than 10 points with the same spacing? If so, how? Thanks!

Re: More Bullet Points, Please
Are you referring to bullet points with a graphic character, or to numbered points?
If numbered points, check the initial style definition of this and increase the after character spacing, which is set by default to accommodate only single character numbering.

Re: More Bullet Points, Please
Look with a keen eye at your file and its bullet points: the first eight "Excellent" to "Rezoning" have a small bullet and a tab; the next three "Okaloosa County" to "Nearby" have a large bullet and a tab. The final one "Okaloosa County" has a small bullet and no tab.
You should ask what you did to use three differing methods of entry, generating these three differing results.

Re: More Bullet Points, Please
The problem, HOOT, is that you are formatting using direct formatting features of the Format menu instead of using styles. Styles create a consistent appearance for the document so you can have the same spacing for your bullets. Begin by opening the Format → Styles and Formatting dialog.
Writer Guide: Working with Styles
• Select the first paragraph Florida Panhandle … → In the styles dialog, click the Paragraph Styles icon in upper left corner → Text Body will be selected → Click the icon in upper right corner → Update Style
• Select the first bulleted paragraph Excellent location … → Click List Styles icon (last one at upper left) → Click the icon in upper right corner → New style from selection → Style name → Foo → OK
• Select all the bulleted paragraphs → Double-click Foo in the styles dialog to apply it
Apply the Foo style, as needed, to any new bulleted paragraphs you create. You can adjust the appearance of all the bulleted paragraphs by right-clicking Foo and modifying that List style. This is all explained in the link above.
If you need any further assistance attach the document which uses styles and explain what you're having trouble with. I will need you to confirm your OpenOffice version before I make another response.
If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit ✏️ button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

Thank you, kind, smart people!
I went back to where the bullets were correct and continued typing and entering to create another bullet point; it worked.
I recall copying and pasting points from various sources, which may have resulted in a mess.

The text from many other editors often does not use the same internal coding as Open-/Libre-Office, and consequently will not show up correctly. It is often best to use /Edit /Paste Special : Unformatted text, and apply OpenOffice's styles to the imported text to obtain the effect you require.
