[Solved] Can't rename sheet or delete sheet

Post by dandavis »

All options are grayed out- right click the sheet tab, format & sheet, tools & protect document.
Anyone have any other solutions?
I'll award you a gold star! :)-

Is the sheet, or any part of it, protected?

I hate this damn computer, I wish that I could sell it.
It won't do what I want it to, Only what I tell it.

When I go under tools, protect document-the options are grayed out. Is there somewhere else I can look to check if it's protected?

Attach your document so someone can take a look.

Can you change anything in the document? For example can you put a number in an empty cell? Perhaps your operating system has made the document read-only. Anti-virus programs are often the reason that OpenOffice documents have changed to read-only status.

Yes, I can input all my info, delete info, etc. But ONLY in cells. It's no longer letting me merge cells (I was able to when I first created the document), I can't delete or rename tabs. I can't sort the columns.

It's a "shared" document. So is something happening because of the sharing? I am the creator of the document. Only one other person has access to it and I gave them all abilities of the spreadsheet, so they can enter & delete info.

Yep! I unshared the document and all the features came back. Thanks all!
