Large spreadsheet files over a 2.4Gbps wireless network

Post by wokel39655 »

I'm setting up a shared office workspace with high-speed 2.4Gbps wireless networking. When multiple users access and edit large OpenOffice/LibreOffice Calc files (50MB+) simultaneously from a network drive, are there any:

Performance optimizations in OpenOffice to prevent lag?

Recommended wireless router settings (QoS, channel width) for Office file stability?

Known issues with real-time collaboration on wireless networks at these speeds?"*

Why this fits the OpenOffice forum:

Directly ties document productivity software to enterprise wireless networking

Targets users upgrading office infrastructure

Invites discussion of both software configs and hardware requirements

Edit: Several forum moderators agree that the link you included is SPAM. SPAM is absolutely not tolerated on the forum. I removed your link. And they are suspicious of your claim, in your forum signature, to be using OpenOffice 3.1, which was released about 15 years ago. The rest of the topic seems like a legitimate posting so I assumed, as a new poster, that you did not intend to violate forum rules and approved the topic instead of banning you immediately. Any further attempts to link to advertising for products will cause a ban. You should update your forum signature to indicate your actual OO/LO version and your actual operating system environment. No one will remember whether OpenOffice 3.1 could operate efficiently in your wireless network.
