[Solved] Spell check is underlining every word in red

This started yesterday, very suddenly. I've been using Open Office for years and have never had this issue, and updating to the newest version did not help. When I select English as the language for all text, every word is marked as being spelled incorrectly, even when they aren't. Literally every single word. How do I fix this?

If you don't have a lot of personal customizations, the easiest fix is probably to reset your user profile. To do that,
1. Shutdown OpenOffice
2. Open any folder and enter
%appdata%\OpenOffice\4
in the address bar near the top.
3. You should now see a folder that contains the folder user. Rename that folder to user_old
4. Restart OpenOffice, you should get the registration screen. Fill that out then test of the problem is fixed.
