A search for Sequoia in the forum finds only this post. Try it and see. My hardware does not support MacOS 15.
Q03: How do I install OpenOffice on a Mac?

You'll have to convince the Apple's Gatekeeper to let you use it. If you have trouble with that, ask Apple (not here) for help.
Q05: The Gatekeeper won't let me run OpenOffice. How do I proceed?

Please post here telling us if you were successful. Others will have the same question and you can help them.
Edit: 2024-10-13 16:32 UTC: b.mckerchar has marked the topic as [Solved] but did not tell us if they were successful, as requested.

MacOS 15 will have Pages, Numbers, and Keynote pre-installed if you're having trouble with OpenOffice.
Q59: Can I exchange documents between OpenOffice and iWork, Apple's office suite?

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit ✏️ button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

Hi, I tried Apache Open Office 4.1.15 on a virtual machine version with Sequoia 15.0.1.
As it already happens with Sonoma 14.6.1 everything works except the parts (like Base) that require Java which, despite being regularly installed, is not recognized as valid.
