[Solved] Date format problem in tables

Post by Didee »

Argh, new versions are so frustrating!

I got a new computer and downloaded OpenOffice 4.1.14. Spent a long time setting up my menus the way I wanted them, but still have a few quirks I can't change. What's happening now is when I'm entering dates into a table...I enter the date as 10/1/1999, but OpenOffice automatically changes is to 10/1/99. This is not acceptable for my use. What do I need to change setting-wise so that all four numbers of the year show up rather than reducing down to the last two numbers?

Select the cells you want to affect, then right click on one of them. You can either turn off Number Recognition or you can choose Number Format and set the format to whatever you want. Choosing the Category Date and the Format 12/31/1999 would probably work for you.
