[Solved] Interspacing a column with blank rows

Column A in the attachment needs to have blanks below each cell (this is an example, some cols are 5k deep).

I can see a potential solution here - [Solved] Adding blank rows between rows

But I must be misunderstanding something as there are some happy users, I get as far as what is shown on the attachment and see no exit.

Can anyone point the way?

In the next row (that is 101) type 0.1 and fill that down to get 0.1, 1.1, 2.1, …, 99.1.

Put 0.1 in B11 instead of C2, etc.

This sort inserts an empty row after rows 1 through 10.

I can see how this example gives nine new spaces between each line. Works fine.

But fail to see how to make this work for a single space between any largish number of lines.
Can you please give a hint?

In the attached file, you can see how I set up column B. I then chose the menu Data -> Sort and chose to sort on Column B. On the Options tab, I set the sort to copy the sort results to G1. You would not do that last step, I did it to illustrate the process. You can see that now every line from column A has a blank line under it in column G.
