Hi
I only have a basic understanding of OpenOffice and have just run into a small problem.
I would like to pull data from 2 cells in 1 sheet and insert it into a cell in 1 cell on another sheet.
I have used the formula
=SUMIF(Transactions!C5:C100,''Equipment'',Transactions!D5:D100)
I have attached screen shots if any help
Thank you

Re: Pull data from drop down menu
Screenshots are of no use in this case. Can you provide a sample spreadsheet that illustrates what you are trying to do?

I hate this damn computer, I wish that I could sell it.
It won't do what I want it to, Only what I tell it.

Re: Pull data from drop down menu
You don't tell what the problem is. It's not clear how your formula relates to the drop down menu.
In your screenshots we cannot see column letters, sheet names, where you put the formula.
It's a bad idea to apply formulas on tables containing totals (row 8).
You need to use semicolons instead of commas between function arguments. Use the function wizard.

If you need any additional assistance attach a spreadsheet demonstrating the situation (remove confidential information then use Post Reply, not Quick Reply, and don't attach a picture instead of the spreadsheet itself). I will not help further unless you attach.
If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit ☐ button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.
