[Solved] Unable to open file due to format error in content.xml

Post by Leukozyt5555 »

Dear friends,

my recently changed file is obviously corrupted after annotations had been made with MS word and later again with Libre Office. It says “Read Error. Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 2,3975(row,col)”

I discovered that this is a known issue and the problem file can be repaired in an xml editor, but I tried hard and could not get it done... is there anybody out there who can help me with that? I would be terribly thankful!
I cannot attach the file here because of excess file size. How can I send/upload it?

thanks in advance,

Forgot to add: the error occured in the AOO my partner uses – I tried to open the file in LO which yielded the message (and it was the same in AOO)

I have sent back the (hopefully) repaired file. See this post for an explanation of the possible cause(s) of this particular problem.

For the record, it was the usual Annotations issue.
