[Solved] Added image but see only "graphics1"

how do I paste a captured or image.jpg file into a new Open Office page?
using 4.1.15

Presumably you are using Writer? Go to Tools | Options | OpenOffice Writer | View, check under Display and ensure that Graphics and Objects is selected (checked).

Openoffice 4.1.3 on windows 7 using firefox

Perhaps you might consider updating your signature to reflect the current information about your operating system and OpenOffice versions.

Graphic & objects box was not checked and now it is.
