[Solved] Image processing and pasting of clipboard objects

Post by WalterJohn »

Hello, please help, I have a problem that I don't know how to solve.

On my newly purchased laptop with W11, I cannot directly paste images from the clipboard into writer or impress. I have to first save the image and then insert the image using the insert object menu. On my old laptop with W7 I paste everything without any problems. is this a security issue? I searched through the options but found nothing.

Best advice would be to switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice and see if you have better luck. There are several good reasons to make the switch, some of which are given here: [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information
LibreOffice 25.8.4.2 (x64) installed to Windows 11 Pro. 25H2
Apache OpenOffice Portable 4.1.16 [Portable Apps]
For Java I use Adoptium Temurin JRE LTS Releases.
