[Solved] Prevent page number on first page

Can anyone tell me how to remove the page number from the first page of a text document?

The short answer is that you need to have a different page style for the first page than for the other pages. Page numbers go in the footer or header and those are elements of the page style. If your document uses the default template for Writer documents, it will already include a page style named First Page. Apply that to the first page. It is defined so that the page that follows it will be in the Default page style. You can then apply page numbers to the Default page style pages without affecting the first page.
You might well need more detailed instructions than that. If so, just ask and I or someone else can layout the steps.
