How to open my account and documents?

Lost my Open Office connection and documents. Don't ask me how. everything just vanished; How to open my account and documents?

Everything related to OpenOffice is on your local computer. There is no connection or account in the sense of a web based application. What has happened that tells you everything vanished? Was there an icon you clicked to start the program that is no longer visible?

If you are really on Windows 7, as your signature says, I can't remember just how the Windows desktop looked. There should be a Windows or Start button at the lower left of the screen. If you click on that, do you see a list of programs? If so scroll through that to find OpenOffice and then click on the listing to start it.

Thanks. happens to be windows 10 now. So I'll look for programs there and see what happens.

Win10 has a search field in the file explorer (the yellow folder icon in the taskbar) in the top right corner of the window.

You may try to search for *.odt if you used writer before.
