I have gotten to the last step in the process of printing mailing labels. And that last step is indicating what kind of labels to use.
I have a box of Avery 5160, and downloaded an OpenOffice equivalent from Worldlabel.com which is the WL-OL875WY. On screen they seem to be the same as the Avery.
But nothing in the selection of labels in the merge function is even similar to what I got. How can I tell merge to use the labels I have?
Thanks,
José
Merge and labels
Re: Merge and labels
I don't use Writer for that purpose so can't answer directly, but here is the chapter in the online Writer Guide about using Mail Merge, which includes instructions on how to create labels and how to use Mail Merge without the wizard... should be something in there you can use. (You can also download this chapter as an individual PDF file or you can download the whole Writer Guide as a PDF file, from the link in my sig line below.)

Re: Merge and labels {solved}
OK... I get what must be done. In effect, put in the data for the label sheet and save it. A bit of detail work, but a solution. Thanks
Re: Merge and labels
OOo supports Avery 5160 directly without the need for any download.I have a box of Avery 5160, and downloaded an OpenOffice equivalent from Worldlabel.com which is the WL-OL875WY.
File > New > Labels, set the Brand to Avery Letter Size then 5160 will be available on the Type drop down menu.
