[Solved] How to not see unneeded rows and columns

I am pretty sure you click to select the entire first row or column beyond which you dont want to see - but then what? Or is that first step wrong. Thanks

Hit F1, click the "Index" tab and type "hid" into the box or "columns"

thanks I will try it. This should be an easily available command....not sure why it isnt

Where should the cursor be when I hit F! - I tried it at the top of the first column I want to hide and no "index" appeared....

F1 is the shortcut key for the menu item Help | OpenOffice Help.

Explained here: how to add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the *EDIT button.
I've done it for you.
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 25.2 portable on Windows 11.
