There is no mail client, calendar or task scheduler apps in the OpenOffice suite.

Search the web! There are many different options, some cost money and some are free. One setup I have used is Mozilla's "Thunderbird" mail client with the "Lightning" calendar plugin. It connected easily to my Google calendar and all my mail accounts. It's been a couple of years since I stopped using it, so things may have changed. Good luck!

Apache OpenOffice doesn't have an email client. Perhaps Thunderbird might suit your needs?
Slackware 15 (current) 64 bit
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.16
LibreOffice 26.2.3.2; SlackBuild for 26.2.3 by Eric Hameleers

I hate this damn computer, I wish that I could sell it.
It won't do what I want it to, Only what I tell it.
